WordPress – Gold Hill Farm Kitchen

Gold Hill Farm Kitchen is a brand-new business located a few hundred yards from the office. The idea behind it is  to get as much of Gold Hill farm’s produce onto the menu as possible. As a result, it is a predominantly vegetarian menu, cooked with love and served with smiles. They cook everything from scratch in their tardis like kitchen here on the farm including bread, pastries, smoothies, pickles, fermentations & cordials. Paddy and his teams aim is to be the only process on your foods journey from the field to your plate. They also love coffee and with the help and guidance of Wogan coffee in bristol we hope to deliver a tasty beverage too!

The Project

Paddy approached us to help give him a digital side to the business so customers could find him and find out more about his offering. Stage 1 was to get a website up and running showcasing the food on offer, opening times, and contact details. Stage 2 has been to get the eCommerce side fo the business up and running so he can take bookings online and not worry too much about admin and phone calls.

The Solution

We immediately decided on WordPress as the simplest solution. Enabling Paddy and his team to be able to make quick alterations using Elementor site builder. The website is fast and secure and has the ability to grow into anything he wants. The joy of WordPress is tha ability to make it do pretty much anything you like, from eCommerce to subscription-based businesses. It is also easy to edit from a laymans point of view.

The Result

As of this week, Gold Hill Farm Kitchen is offering Friday supper clubs. Customers can now go online to the website and book tables for the first event and choose their main course from a drop-down. The whole process takes away any hassles with phone bookings and removes the need to pay for a hosted service like Dishcult or Res Diary and keep the info in-house.

What he said

I was absolutely blown away by not only the website but the relentless support in tying up all the loose ends that inevitably appear when pulling all the digital media strands together in a small startup business. Could not recommend more highly.

Ongoing Marketing

Since the launch of the website we have now added on Mailchimp to the marketing mix. Visitors can subscribe to a newsletter keeping them up to date with news and supper clubs. This type of marketing means everything is automated and Paddy can continue to work on creating the most fabulous dishes for the rest of us.
