A few months ago we gained a new client who was very much in need of our help moving website platforms for her ecommerce business. Hannah Turner is a fantastic business located in Bradford on Avon, not far from our home office. Hannah started her business at university in 1991 and has since gone from strength to strength. Her designs are all her own and she has a team of four working in their warehouse unit selling products all over the globe. Hannah had built a very successful business on Magento which enabled her to grow and sell in multiple countries. The one snag was the performance of her previous agencies. With Magento making changes isn’t as easy as it should be and the need to upgrade to newer versions can become catastrophic if not handled well. The business had reached a point where some of the functionality was not working on the website and as an e-commerce owner, this is as good as running on a flat tyre.
We approached Hannah to see if we could help move her over from Magento to Shopify. Our favorite platform and one we find easy to use and simple to make edits on. Hannah agreed and we swiftly began the move. As I have described before it is akin to moving home and lucky for us Hannah was ready. I don’t think we have ever had such a switched-on customer before who had everything we needed ready at hand.
The process was fairly simple, we picked a theme that would work for further growth in the business and completed the process in a matter of weeks. Of course, there were a few headaches along the way but this is what we do for a living so it ran fairly smoothly.
